HL7 CDA R2: High-impact Strategies - What You Need to Know: Definitions, Adoptions, Impact, Benefits, Maturity, Vendors ReviewWhile browsing for Keith Boone's book on HL7 CDA The CDA TM book I came across this one. Wanting to learn as much as I can on the subject, I impulsively purchased it thinking that any addition to my CDA resource library would be helpful. This book promises on the back cover "The ALL ENCOMPASSING Guide to HL7 CDA R2" etc etc etc. Nothing could be further from the truth. Of the 61 pages total in the book there is 2/3 of one page actually devoted to CDA and that is taken from Wikipedia. The rest are unrelated "chapters" on other standards in HL7, the Public Health Information Network" which has almost nothing to do with CDA (I know as I helped build a good part of PHIN) and other random Healthcare Informatics entities. In fact virtually all the references in the back of the book are to Wikipedia. On page 1 the first paragraph is copied and pasted directly out of the HL7 Wikipedia entry. I suspect the rest is as well but I am too disgusted to check any more. This is a total rip-off. PLEASE do not waste your money!
