On the other hand, the book can not be used as a a guide for creating or analysing mega-projects. IMHO, the book lacks a conceptual framework or set of tools to be used in these kind of projects.
The most entertaining and useful resources about large engineering projects I have found:
* Megaprojects and Risk: An Anatomy of Ambition by Bent Flyvbjerg
* The technical design reports or surveys from large projects (see a list of mega-prohects at [...])
* Mega-engineering from the Discovery channel (not a formal approach but still entertaining)
