However, this book is a guide for ANYONE that will work/assist with a school curriculum. It goes through the legal stuff and state mandated requirements concerning curriculum. Additionally, the book leads the leader on how to align the curriculum on a school level (public/charter/private). I would recommend this book for novices as well as 'experts'. It helps to provide a refresher for those experienced with aligning State standards and building curriculum/pacing guides.
